A few words about me...
I retired in 2006 from UTK - see http://web.utk.edu/~mbentle1 . My area of expertise is science and environmental education. I'm still actively teaching and writing. My latest book is _Teaching Constructivist Science K-8_ (Corwin Press, 2007) and Educator's Field Guide is due out in 2011. I'm currently writing a book with my son for ages 8-14 on snakes. I was the guest editor for Education.com's special issue on nature deficit disorder at http://www.education.com/topic/nature-deficit-disorder/ .
