A few words about me...
I retired in 2006 from UTK (see http://web.utk.edu/~mbentle1). My area of expertise is science and environmental education. I'm still actively teaching and writing. My latest book is _Teaching Constructivist Science K-8_ (Corwin Press, 2007) and I'm currently writing _An Educator's Field Guide_. I will be the editor for Education.com's special issue in early 2009 on nature deficit disorder.
