A few words about me...
I'm a doctoral student in Educational Psychology at Stanford University, with a specialization in Learning Sciences and Technology Design. If you are wondering what that means, you're not alone -- we spend entire meetings debating what exactly are the "learning sciences"! Basically, I'm interested in how people learn best, and in what ways the cool new tools we have -- computers, the Internet, wireless networks, iPods -- can help us learn even better.
Since I was a philosophy major before graduate school, I'm also interested in how we learn our values, and how the ways we interact with technology can influence our moral choices. For example, I think it's amazing how online communities of people (like those found at Education.com!) can remind each other of the core values in life that are important to them.
I'm really excited to be working with Education.com, and I can't wait to see how it grows. When I'm not studying, I love to take advantage of the California outdoors -- hiking, surfing, running, biking, doing yoga, and just enjoying the sun. After working out, I like to come home and bake. Leave me a message if you want to chat!
