A few words about me...
In 1996, I received my Ph.D. in Psychology and Education at the Free University of Berlin, Germany. After that, I pursued my postdoctoral training at the Research Unit for Children’s Psychosocial Maladjustment (GRIP) at the University of Montreal and at the Centre for Research on Human Development (CRHD) at Concordia University. In 2000, I accepted a full-time research scientist position at the Ste-Justine Hospital Research Center and became affiliated professor at the Psychology department of the University of Montreal. In 2001, I joined the Psychology department of the University of Quebec in Montreal, Canada, as assistant professor and was awarded tenure in 2004. I also hold a Senior Researcher Fellowship from the Fonds de Recherche en Santé du Québec (FRSQ) and am member of the Research Unit for Children’s Psychosocial Maladjustment (GRIP) and of the Ste-Justine Hospital Research Center. Apart from teaching undergraduate and graduate courses in developmental psychology, research methods, and statistics, I conduct research on children’s and adolescents’ psychosocial development. My research projects are financed by the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council (SSHRC), the Fonds de Recherche en Santé du Québec (FRSQ), the Fonds québécois de la recherche sur la société et la culture (FQRSC), and the Canadian Institutes for Health Research (CIHR).
