A few words about me...

Michelle L. Toews, Associate Professor of Family and Consumer Sciences at Texas State University-San Marcos, received her doctorate in Human Development and Family Science from The Ohio State University.



In the past year, she has taught Research Procedures, Family Diversity, Family Life Education, and Families and Sexuality. She also supervises the Family and Child Studies practicum students.    



Her main research interests include separation violence, conflict and co-parenting after divorce, and father involvement. In addition, she is currently working on a longitudinal research study with Dr. Yazedjian examining individual and familial factors as predictors of college adjustment and achievement.
