Q:

My 10 yr old just got over swine flu.  Now wife is sick but without a fever, has shortness of breath, and aches, and hot & cold.  Could she have H1N1?

What the Expert Says:

She could, as the 2009 pandemic influenza A virus (swine flu) is highly contagious and there is a small but significant population that have been shown to have documented swine flu without fever.  However I agree with the other respondent that if you have any concerns speak with your doctor.  it has been several days since you have posted your question so I hope your wife has fully recovered or feeling better.

Hi Dudeimus, I'm sorry to hear that your wife isn't feeling well and has the symptoms you listed.

However, a medical question like this is really best answered by a licensed health care professional who can examine your wife in person. Please contact your family doctor as soon as possible.
