Methuen
Methuen asks:
Q:

My 10yr old tested positive for influenza A. Does this mean he has H1N1?

If my son tested positive w/ a nasal swab does this mean he has the swine? He's 10yrs old w/ chronic asthma, the Dr. put him on prednisone and Tami-Flu.

What the Expert Says:

Probably, but I would ask your doctor to confirm what is in your area of the country.  There does not appear to be any other flu type circulating now so the presumption is H1N1 all positive influenza A.
