Hi,

Unless you live in a city, county, state, or country that has mandatory preschool laws, you should be able to remove your child from preschool at your own discretion. However, the preschool where the child is enrolled may have some policies with regards to the cancellation, such as non-refundable enrollment fees.

I would contact the preschool director and talk to her/him about your concerns, while inquiring about the school's policy for enrollment cancellations. Research also with your state's Board of Education if preschool is mandatory in your state, and if they are aware of any cities and counties within the state that do require preschool enrollment at age 4. The state board may also know if there are any country-wide requirements that apply to your child.

I'm including below some additional resources to help you in your decision-making about this matter, as well as to support your child's learning. Good luck -- I hope you get the information you need to make the best decision for your child's education.
