What the Expert Says:

The Pneumovax or pneumonia vaccine is recommended for ages 2 and up and 50 and older.  Immunity is expected to be lifelong and no booster is recommended. In some cases with children and immune suppressed individuals a booster is given at five years from the original.  If you are a healthy person, no booster is required.
