Snooring is usually a result of airway anatomy which means that tonsils or adenoids--those glands in the back of the throat--are obstructing air passage. I would have your doctor check this out or an ear, nose and throat surgeon.  In the meantime the breathing strips sold in pharmacies work pretty well to help stop the snoors.
