Is it possible for a child to skip preschool and go straight into kindergarten when going to a private school in NYS?
My 3 (almost 4) year old already knows her ABCs, can count to 100 (to ten in 3 languages) is starting to read and write. She gets upset if not challanged and I'm afraid preschool may not be rigorous enough for her. However I don't want to start her too soon and frustrate her if kindergarten is too much

It sounds like your child is more than ready. your child can read write count and has already learning her ABCs. why don't you allow her to go to kindergarten and see if she likes it and if she doesn't get left behind you will know that she is more than ready.
