If your daughter's shots are up-to-date, she already received a vaccine that should protect her from chicken pox.  Although some children still catch chicken pox even though they were vaccinated against it, it is rare.

In most cases, chicken pox is a self-limiting disease.  Itching is the most likely discomfort that can be controlled by taking oatmeal baths and anti-itch medication as prescribed by a health care provider.
