Rachelle T. asks:

How can I help my daughter deal with shyness around young men?

My 28 month old daughter is extremly shy around young men.  I have nephews that are in their early 20's and when she sees them she is just so shy to be around them, she won't want to look at them or even talk to them. But once she sees them leaving or knows we are leaving she tells them good bye and acts totally okay with them. She goes to day care and is totally fine around other children boys and girls. I notice this is just around younger men. Do you think she will grow out of this?.

I wouldn't worry about it.  Kids go through lots of stages when it comes to how they react around other people.  She'll likely grow out of it over time and then get back a version of it when she starts puberty.
