Joelb asks:

I recently had an extensive blood exam and all my levels were perfect, except for bilirubin, which was at 1.9. Should I be concerned about this?

What the Expert Says:

Check with the examining doctor and ask the question.  Some people have a condition called Gilbert's Disease with elevated bilirubin but normal liver functions.  This is an inherited condition and not a disease and unlikely to cause a problem, but ask the examining doctor what she thinks about the result.
