Every adolescent needs to eat a balanced diet. That starts with eating breakfast, lunch, and dinner.  Breakfast is very important, as it provides a jump start for the metabolic processes in the body and provides energy for academic and sports performance.

Your son's every meal should be complemented by generous servings of fruits and vegetables.  In addition, he needs 4 servings daily of dairy products, such as low fat milk, yogurt, or cheese, and a small serving of protein with each meal (meat, fish, eggs, etc.)
