Q:
How do we get our grandchild to stop holding in his bowel movements?
Our 2 1/2 year old grandson will stiffen up and hold his bowel movement in which makes him constipated and the movements more painful. I started giving him Pedia-lax which helps soften it up but he still fights it. Now if anything comes out it is very little and stays between his cheeks and causes a rash. We are constantly changing to keep him clean. Is this normal and how do we get him past this so we can start potty training?
