Hi, The costs of health care insurance, as well as receiving health care services, really vary depending on the carrier, plan, and your health care needs.

For health care insurance: Some families are covered under one or both of the parent's employer's plan; others buy coverage directly from insurers (some of which have cost calculators on their websites). Some families are covered by public or government health plans (such as low-income families).

Coverage (and your out-of-pocket costs) on plans varies widely too, not just across different carriers, but also across a single carrier's plans. Here's just one example, from Blue Shield/Blue Cross of Florida: http://bit.ly/5FSSR9

To help you further along, here are some tips for "Finding Your Way in the Health Care System":

The chief health policy and planning entity for your new state is the Florida Agency for Healthcare Administration:

They manage another site that you may find particularly helpful:

Good luck with the move -- I hope all goes well with this transition for your family.
