What the Expert Says:

My suggestion is to check out the American Academy of Pediatrics website www.aap.org and go to the development section.  You should find information there.  Also Pediatrics. vol 120 Number 5, Nov 2007. Another source is Ozonoff, Dawson, McPatland book "A Parents guide to Asperger Syndrome and High-Functioning Autism" 2002.

Hello Olivia!

A skills/developmental awareness checklist for Autism can be found for young children on http://www.autismspeaks.org.

Also feel free to check out these websites that were founded by parents with children on the autism spectrum.  These websites may provide you more information and support from other parents.
