Second, here's a creative arts and writing activity that is designed for third-graders, so may require some adjustment for preschoolers (such as gluing magazine cut-outs of career types vs. freehand drawing, or helping the children by writing the words for them)...
That is a excellent question, I am trying to start an organization where kids can go after school, and so far so good. When the younger children come we immediately get into character and I have them pick out dress up clothing to try on maybe a firefighter, police officer, princess
etc... then I have them research there jobs along with a description of their job duties, the pay rate, as well as the pros and cons. The children be so happy with what they need to do.
As an added bonus I would pay them at the end of the week in play money, and take out taxes and have them also pay for the things that they need and want. I have a store where they can make purchases I even let them establish a line of credit, to also lease bikes and other things that they would like to use for the week.
