Q:
I am pregnant, due in two weeks. I just got the H1N1 vaccine today. Will it give my baby any protection from the virus when she's born?

What the Expert Says:

Great question. I would ask your obstetrician.  Since the maker of the vaccine for H1N1 claims a two week period until full immunity in most people, the placenta could transfer antibodies to the fetus. I would check with the maker Medimmune to confirm the information.  Google Medimmune, LLC in Gaithersburg, MD>
