Hi there,

To divide a fraction by another fraction, multiply by the reciprocal. In other words, swap the numerator and the denominator of the second fraction, then multiply the two fractions together.

For example, 1/2 divided by 1/4 is the same as 1/2 x 4/1. Multiply the numerators and the denominators, and you end up with 4/2, or 2.

In your example, 4/45 / 33/45 = 4/45 x 45/33. Multiply, and you get 180/1485, which simplifies to 36/297.
