Dear Reebha:

The Rotateq vaccine is oral and passes through the baby's intestinal tract and would cause no harm if it is expired. Having said that, ask your pediatrician about it. She will know the lot number and be able to explain what happened.  It is a very valuable vaccine against rotavirus however it has a very strict dose schedule.  Go back to your pediatrician's office by phone and ask to speak to the pediatrician directly to address your question.
