Q:

I am doing a science experiment on "Which Balls Will Travel the Farthest" using the scientific method.

Any ideas on how to do this.  Should I throw the different balls or hit the balls.  Also, we need to list the variables and control variables.  Any idea what that is?

Hi, Here's a similar project that lists many different potential variables...

The Physics of Cheating in Baseball - Do corked bats really hit the ball further? What about other materials? Here's a project to find out.

Here is more information about the scientific method and how to do science fair projects: http://www.education.com/topic/help-child-with-science-fair-projects/

I suggest reviewing this information above with your parent or teacher, and making decisions about your project from there. Also, if you decide you want to try a different project, below is a link to ideas you can review with your parent to select another project.

Good luck - I hope all goes well with your science exploration!
