Karenmom asks:

Are silicone derivatives dangerous AND do they contribute to toxins in our body?

There are many silicone derivatives with many different "hidden" names, that I have found to be in just about ALL hair care products under one name or another.  They have been known to cause cancer, tumors in lab rats, but yet it is a key ingredient in the products that you use almost daily, should we be concerned?  Also, I've noticed young girls suck or chew on their hair (including my daughter, but she finally broke the habit)could this be harmful to them because you see even older girls/women at one time or another place long hair between their lips.  Something to think about.
