The broad term “evolution” can take on many meanings.  Do you mean the evolution of a species (genetics), the evolution of the world around us and the environment, or do you mean the evolution of mankind as a whole?  For example, some animals have evolved to adapt to the world around them so they can better survive in a given environment.  An example of an adaptation is being able to camouflage with the environment so predators would be less likely to find prey.
