Some clouds are gray because they are thicker (deeper), thus blocking out more light from the sun. If you were above them in an airplane they would look white and fluffy. Michael Bentley

Clouds look gray when they block sunlight. The thicker the cloud, the more light it blocks.

the reason the clouds are gray is b/c it is about to rain or is about to rain some where Else.

it is not b/c the water or the pollution it is b/c the rain it is natural for the clouds to be gray.
