Q:
Possible speech problem? Should I be concerned?
I am a bit concerned about my daughter's speech (or lack thereof). In every facet of her life she's normal, if not, ahead of the curve. She knows her letters, numbers, shapes, and colors. She practices writing skills and can write her full name. We read, puzzles, gymnastics, drawing, soccer, plays well, separates from mom and dad and so on.
But I find it very difficult to understand her and feel like she has difficulty putting sentences together and using full sentences. She loves to talk to us. In fact we often play pretend with her dolls and she'll talk nonstop for 20 minutes, but I find it difficult to understand her and would even classify some of it as gibberish.
