Q:

Is my teacher allowed to do this

I have a teacher, he teaches my band and takes me for lessons on my instrument. At the moment I'm in the pit orchestra for the school musical with him and a few friends of his.
After we had finished playing, my teacher hit his friend for attention and proceed to pretend to play, hunched down with his chin to his chest. A lot like the way I play.
This teacher makes me really uneasy, there have been a lot of little digs like this over the years. Although I haven't helped it by starting to talk back and give him attitude in response. I'm not sure what to do, I have a lot of social anxiety issues and he's not helping. I feel really insecure and unsafe.
Please help me figure out if I should leave it alone, or just quit band.

You could quit doing band then you wouldn't have to worry anymore about him.  You could also ask your principal for help.
