BJMiller-tx asks:

Is it better to test students the class after a review or on the day of the review?

Our school is set up on a university schedule (some classes meet on MWF and others meet on TTh).  I review with my students the class before a test, letting them know the format of the test and the number of problems they will encounter.  I have a peer that tests on the same day as the students turn in their chapter reviews.  Is there any research supporting one way or the other or can both be effective?
