What are your top 5 family fun 'things to do' on Maui?
I have a friend who spontaneously took a 4-day trip to Maui with her 10-year-old daughter and 5-year-old son (she needed a tropical get-away and her kids are on spring break, so she sprang for a quick trip that would suit them all). While they are currently enjoying themselves lounging by the pool or playing in the sand outside their hotel (in the Lahaina area), she was also asking around to friends on Facebook about the best places on Maui to take the kids for some more fun. If learning can be included, all the better!

The Botanical Gardens is wonderful this time of year. A car trip to Hana is also worth it, lots of waterfalls and natives on the sides of the roads selling coconuts and hand woven baskets. BEAUTIFUL!

I remember visiting the Bishop Museum as a child and really enjoying it. Definitely worth a visit for a fun and educational outing with kids in Maui!
