What the Expert Says:

the issue of APD can be developmental as well as post traumatic meaning after significant injury.  It is always best to consult your pediatrician about any developmental or academic concerns you have for your child. These conditions are usually discovered early in educational experience and can be addressed at school.

Hi saresh,

There are a number of different auditory processing disorders. The types of auditory processing disorders include Auditory Discrimination, Auditory Memory, and Auditory Sequencing. I'm including a link to a page that describes what each particular disorder is, in detail.

The second link I'm including is to an article that explains what Auditory Processing Disorder is, and includes information as to how to determine if your child has APD.
