Q:

Are there websites for second graders to ask questions and get educational answers?

"I am looking for a website that is suitable for my grandson who is in second grade. He has a wide range of interests and often asks questions that require more than superficial knowledge. I'd like to know of a way that we can go online together and find more detailed information and, hopefully, links to other sources of information. His questions do not fall into a category such as 'science' or 'math.' Hope you can help."

Hi,

Yahoo Kids offers a Q&A forum called "Ask Earl":  http://kids.yahoo.com/ask_earl

Ask Kids is another similar service: http://www.askkids.com/

Here are some additional learning websites for kids: http://www.kidsknowit.com/index.php

The U.S. government has also compiled a listing of websites for children: http://www.kids.gov/ (including websites with Q&A options)

I'm also including some learning activities you and your grandson can do together (linked below). Thanks for asking!
