Q:

Withdraw my son from school now and enroll him next year in the same grade

my son is home schooled and in 3 rd grade we are holding him back to repeat the 3 rd grade so can we withdraw him now for the rest of this school year? We are in the state of Indiana.
Does anyone know if we can do this?

What the Expert Says:

You have raised a very good question.  The key to answering this question rests in Indiana's state laws governing promotion and retention.

Perhaps the best way to address this is to meet with the principal/guidance counselor of the elementary school your child will attend.  The administration should be able to answer this question.

A couple of years ago I was in the same situation but I was in abu dhabi and my son where in 3rd grade. You can surely withdraw him from the current school and can enrolled in another one.
