2 cups water
2 tablespoons sugar
2 tablespoons margarine
2 teaspoons salt
1 pkg. yeast
6 cups flour
Heat water, sugar, margarine, and salt together until slightly warm (110 degrees). Dissolve yeast into mixture. Add 5 cups flour. Knead 10 minutes, working in last cup of flour. Let rise to double. Shape into 24 balls. Place on an oiled baking sheet. Let rise. Brush with a mixture of 1 teaspoon cornstarch and 1/2 cup water. Slash tops of balls. Bake at 375 degrees for 30 minutes. Makes 24 bolillos.
