Knocked-Out Tooth Instruction Sheet
A Knocked-out permanent tooth is a dental emergency.Quickly putting a permanent tooth back in its socket is key to preserving the tooth.

Every minute a tooth is out its socket means there's less chance that it will survive. a tooth has the best chance of survival if replaced within 30 minuts.
What to Do:
- Find the Knocked-out tooth.
- Handls the tooth only by its crown(the top part),never by the root.
- Gently rinse(do't scrub)the tooth immedialely;it contains chlorine,which may damage the root.)
- Keep the tooth from drying out until you see the dentist by:
- interisting the tooth back into its socket and holding it in place
- strong the tooth in milk(not water)
- placing the tooth between your check and lower gum
- See the dentist or go to your local emergency department right away.
Think Prevention!
people can lose teeth while palying cantact sports such as football or ice hockey,from riding bicks,or from being in a motor vehicla crash.Wear mouth guards and protective gear when playing a contact sport.And always buckle up when in a motor vehicle.
