Young adults between 19 - 24 years old are especially vulnerable. Times of life's transitions are often a time of great stress and uncertainty.
Depression and suicide are extremely serious issues for young people. Knowing the warning signs and taking immediate action is key.

Mental Health Association of Minnesota
MHAM helps individuals find access to services, or problem-solve a situation, on a one-to-one basis and provide community education about mental illness, treatments, and resources. The Association also takes a systems-wide approach to ensuring access to appropriate mental health care and protecting the rights of individuals. For more information click here.

QPR Suicide Prevention Safety Net
Question Persuade Respond Ask A Question. Save A Life.
The QPR Institute provides community gatekeeper training to raise public awareness about suicide and better identification and referral of people at risk of suicide.
Gatekeeper training teaches the average, non-professional citizen the warning signs of suicidal thinking and behavior. Schools, civic clubs, community organizationa are encouraged to be trained in QRP. For a local instructor contact the QPR Institute click here.
