Woodley Wonderworks APPENDIX 1
The absolute difference between any two numbers is always a positive number. To achieve it, always subtract the smaller value from the larger value.
To find the change in temperature, calculate the absolute difference between the two temperature values.
Example:
initial temperature = 56°F
final temperature = 126°F
| temperature change | = final temperature – initial temperature |
| = 126°F – 56°F | |
| = 70°F |
