Ácaros
(Dust Mites)
Los ácaros son insectos microscópicos que viven en el polvo doméstico. Penetran en lugares blandos, como almohadas, frazadas, colchones y muñecos de peluche. Muchas personas asmáticas son alérgicas al polvo, pero los verdaderos causantes de las reacciones alérgicas son las deposiciones de los ácaros y los fragmentos de los cuerpos de ácaros muertos. Cuando una persona los inhala, pueden provocarle alergias o síntomas de asma.
