This school lacks parent school communication. I have not been told about anything involving student/parent activities, school make-up days for weather. No teacher conferences after report cards. The automated phone messaging system needs to be re-vamped where they start the message in ENGLISH not Spanish. I missed the first three messages because all I heard was Spanish coming through so I hung up. The fourth time I decided to listen seeing as I have received this call before, and low and behold, it was the school. We live in the United States where the primary language is ENGLISH and therefore I should receive messages in ENGLISH and others can press one or two for Spanish as with most other messaging systems. Just because the majority of the student population is Hispanic does not mean we have to cater to them. This is America!!! This was our first year here and it has left a bad taste in my mouth. Next year better be a different story or I will pull my child out of this school and move them to another.
