Cora Castlen Elementary School

Angela Silloway: I love cora castlen elementary school , I went there as a child and all the teachers were so kind , when I was in fourth grade I had a teacher who was the most kindest , but strict teacher you could have , she was amazing and I still remember her to this day , I was the only child who could not attend the field trip to Montgomery , Alabama because the cost was to much so she paid for my trip out of her own pocket , I still love her for that now , I am so glad my children get to experience this school and the wonderful teachers who are still amazing to this day , one of which , Annie Potts , was my teacher in 3rd grade ,she still teaches there ,  this school even paid for school supplies and book bags for all the children for years , now with the economy it has become a little difficult to do that , but that doesn't bring down the spirit of the teachers , the staff , or the students , your children would be so lucky to go to this wonderful school.

My daughter attended Cora Castlen briefly before we had to transfer due to her fathers illness, however, we loved the school especially the staff and are planning on moving our daughter back to the school as soon as the doctors give the okay for her father to move back to Grand Bay.  The teachers and office staff treated us with compassion and gave her the special attention she needed and we would like to Thank them each and every one very much.
