Oakwood Adventist Academy Reviews
Lot's of Issues
Oakwood Adventist Academy does not have a 12 to 1 student/teacher ratio, it's actually 29 to 1. This school has serious academic issues. While student grades may be high test scores are extremely low. Older students readily admit they don't understand how they are passing classes because they aren't learning. I can think of at least 10 students whose parents removed them from Oakwood Adventist Academy due to this and other issues. When placed in public or other private schools the students failed and each needed extensive tutoring to catch up with students at the new schools. Bullying is also a huge issue at this school. When a bullying issue arises the situation will be ignored if the bully's parents made a nice donation to the school. OAA is not all bad there are some very good teachers, it's about 1/2 either way.
