Goodwyn Junior High School Reviews
Goodwyn no longer has 9th graders. It has grades 6, 7, and 8 only. When the older kids (9th graders) left, a lot of the problems left. The principal is very good and available to talk to and the teachers my daughter had sincerely cared about her. I don't think they gave enough homework, but then she wasn't in the advanced classes. The biggest problem with the school is the poor condition of the building. The building needs renovations or replacement. It is in terrible condition. Over all, I think Goodwyn will start getting better because the principal is good and the students are younger and coming from better schools (Dalraida and Head) due to restructuring and rezoning. I think this school will improve noticeably over the next 2-3 years. I just wish the district would fix the building.
