Rudd Middle School

Jane: I do not believe that I received a good, or even and adequate education at Rudd.   In hindsight, I can see that the the students were, as a whole, not at all intent on achieving, and the school was little more than an academically-flavored babysitter.    In addition, Rudd is not known for its safety.  

As is the case in many communities, higher-performing schools tend to recruit the best and brightest teachers.  The teachers at Rudd were mediocre at best.  

I would recommend that parents considering Rudd consider Trussville or Blount County schools if possible.    If your child is particularly bright and motivated, and not swayed by poor influences,  Rudd might be the perfect opportunity for him or her to shine.
