Haines Elementary School
Good school for the most part, however many of the aides overstep their boundaries in order to justify their employment. If they can get away with classifying your child as "special needs" whether he/she is or not, they will. Also, they are negligent in informing in a timely fashion when they enroll your child in a "special needs" class. My child was enrolled in one of their programs for a month before I was informed. When asked why the delay in information, the aide replied that she was sure I would "be on board anyway, so why bother to tell" me? I was never informed my child had "a learning problem" during my p/t conferences, nor was note of this made on his report cards; if anything he was praised for performing above grade level.
