About the AIMS

What is it?

Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.

Which Grades and Subjects?

Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 are assessed in reading, writing and math.

How is it Scored?

Students score at one of four levels: falls far below standard, approaches the standard, meets the standard or exceeds the standard. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards.

About the TERRANOVA

What is it?

The TerraNova is a series of nationally norm-referenced tests that assess general academic knowledge in core subjects, as well as providing national comparisons.

Which Grades and Subjects?

Students in grades 2 through 9 are assessed in reading, language arts and math.

How is it Scored?

Students receive a percentile rank, which indicates how well they performed in comparison to their peers in other states. The goal is for all students to score at or above the national average, or 50th percentile, on the test.

This school has been one of the worse schools I have ever gone to.The teachers didnt care about the students or what was going on.We where learning 6th grade stuff when I was a freshmen!WOW!I was so behind when I left that school and all the students there will be behind now!No one;Will be ready for the real life!
