Camp Verde United Christian School Reviews
I love this school!
I can review UCS as a parent and as an employee. Initially, after moving to Arizona from Iowa, I became familiar with the school when my children began attending. Eventually I was blessed with an opportunity to come on staff. In both roles, I have been thrilled with UCS. The teachers do an exceptional job of serving each child in the love of Christ. The small classes allow much individual attention. The total UCS community of staff, students, and families makes for a wonderful environment for learning and growing.
UCS is wonderful!
When we relocated to Camp Verde from Iowa, our kids began attending United Christian School. Our three children have graduated from UCS to move on to Camp Verde High School. The quality of academic and spiritual development given them by UCS has been proven by their ability to succeed and stand strong in their convictions as they moved on to a new environment. As a parent, I highly recommend UCS.
I can speak also as an employee at UCS, as I have enjoyed several years on staff. The standard of conduct is the Bible, unwaveringly. What a wonderful and rare thing. The vision of UCS is to build up disciples of Christ who live by The Book, and I see staff and teachers alike uniting behind that purpose. The children are not only taught, but are loved and nurtured in a safe, encouraging environment.
United Christian school is a wonderful school!
I am a parent of two children who attended United Christian School. My daughter attended the school kindergarten through 8th grade, and my son attended 1st grade through 8th grade. When we first moved to Camp Verde and were looking at public and private schools for our kids, we got glowing recommendations for United Christian from everyone we spoke to.
Children are taught in small classrooms with loving involved teachers and staff. God is in every part of the each child's day. God is in math, literature, science and bible class is the first class every day. God is real and alive at the school.
I can not recommend the school too highly. My children are now in the public high school and have been able to stand firm in their faith due to the strong foundation of biblical principals taught at United Christian School.
Camp Verde United Christian School
As the parent of a kindergarten student, I could not be happier with the education being provided to my child. My child is being challenged, nurtured, and disciplined lovingly in a Christian manner. Mrs. Maynard is a beautiful person who is truly following God's calling. The environment provided by the school is consistent, structured, and calm. I feel the kindergarten teacher is willing to consider a variety of teaching strategies and match the appropriate method to most effectively minister to each individual child. My child is a unique student, and I feel that the kindergarten teacher recognizes each of her children are crafted uniquely and perfectly by God. She truly sees each one of her students as a blessing and has fostered their growth academically, spiritually, and socially. Mrs. Maynard has the children actively engaged in their learning recognizing developmentally appropriate practices. I thank God daily for blessing my family and community with this school and its teachers.
My three children attended and graduated from United Christian School and we were very happy with the individual attention available to them when needed, due to the small class sizes. When they moved on to the public high school, we found that they were able to do very well; teachers at the high school commented repeatedly that they could identify the "Christian school kids" as being excellent students.
Not a good environment for young children. Costly and very closed minded. No individualism. Highly not recommended.
