Sanborn Elementary School
Suzanne Van Dusen: My daughter (step-daughter) attends this school, and she has made a 180 degree attitude change in her desire to go to school. My daughter had to be pulled out of bed, kicking and screaming (metaphorically) and I am delighted to report that she really enjoys her classes, her teachers and the cirriculum at this school. Parental involvement is highly encouraged and extra activities and after-school programs are plentiful and stimulating. It is not unusual to see several generations of siblings attending Sanborn and parents adding years of volunteering experience, adding to the feeling of community involvement and inclusion.
The bottom line: my child was lukewarm about learning and getting her to school was often a creative challenge. Now, I hear about all the programs and activities every day, and my girl loves being a Sanborn Sun! Great staff, involved administrators and excellent activities help Sanborn Elementary get the entire family involved in the educational process.
