About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. Imagine Charter Elementary School at West Gilbert Reviews
Our 3rd grader has attended since Pre-K and we love the family focused atmosphere of the school. My daughter learns full, rounded life skills. The focus on leadership is second to none.
My daughter started here this year, and has become a different kid. She went from being stressed all the time and hating school to being a straight A student and happily getting up in the morning to go to school. Her teacher is amazing, creative, very caring, and most of all understands that all kids are individuals and treats them as such!
Best School in Gilbert!!! All four of my daughters have attended and they all loved it. Teachers care so much for the kids and the families. The adminstration is always supportive and look for the best ways to help families. We are so happy with Imagien West Gilbert!!!
We love this school. The classes are small so each child gets the attention they need. One of my son's will be starting 1st grade next year and my youngest will be starting Pre-k next year as well. I can not believe how much the childern learn and how happy they are about going to school. The teachers and office staff make the kids want to go to school. There are always after school activities going on. My oldest is always coming home, telling me about what he learned that day and what they are learning tomorrow. I can't wait to see how much my youngest grows and learns once he starts pre-k. Why wouldn't any parent want to send their kids to a school that makes them comfortable being there and excited about going back the next day. My oldest gets upset when he has to miss school cause he is sick. I understand his in kindergarten but almost all the parents says their kids don't want to miss school.
I love this school! The growth that I have seen from my son has been AMAZING. My goal by the end of this year is that he was ready to make the transition to kindergarten both socially and academically. I feel like the preschool program prepares the students as a whole, not just in academics but also with their character program. The seven habits of highly effective people is ingrained within the school starting in pre-k 3. Last year there was a car accident on the highway and my then 3 year old was very worried and stated that "they were not putting first things first by driving safely." At that point I knew that this school was the perfect fit for my son. Their goal of educating the whole child is very evident. The entire staff is aware that all students have different needs and are willing to work at making sure each student is successful in all areas.
We have been a family at IWG for 4 years now. The education and the passion of the teachers / faculty is superb!!! I more than recommend this school, I encourage everyone I know to check it out!!
Imagine West Gilbert is fantastic! Best school my kid has been to by far!!! She gets along great with her peers and the entire staff.
My daughter attends this school and is in fourth grade. She enjoys the school and I much prefer the curriculum to that of the Spalding based schools (such as Athlos schools) which place such a high value of importance in subjects which are outdated and of little to know use and are being phased out in many other schools. So glad she doesn't need to concentrate on cursive writing and devote hours to learning cursive when she can be studying other useful subjects which aren't going to be replaced by keyboards and tablets etc.
We can't say enough good things about this school. We moved our son to Imagine West Gilbert from another school and it has proven to be the best decision we could have made for him. He loves school again, he is thriving, he is happy, he has learned more here academically in 1 semester than he was exposed to at another school in an entire year. The atmosphere, the academics, they truly care about the kids, they truly care about education and it shows every day.
This school rocks. I love it. All the teachers are wonderful and very kind. This is my daughters 5th year and she never wants to leave. This is also my sons first year and he knows everything about it. It is a very good school. We were really going to go to Phoenix. But my kids did not and we agreed. We could not find a better school. If you need a school you should pick Imagine West Gilbert.
This school is the best!!!!!!!!!!!! All the teachers here are wonderful, they are so kind. My daughter has been here since kindergarten and know she is in 4th grade this is my sons first year and he LOVES this school. We were going to move to Phoenix but we could not find a better school because there is no school that is better. If you need a school you should really pick Imagine School at West Gilbert.
Our kids have been at Imagine West Gilbert since the end of Kindergarten. They are now almost finished with 2nd grade. They absolutely love their school and so do we! The academic curriculum is great and they also focus on core life values such as respect, being pro-active, having integrity and good core values. The teachers are always available for the students and parents. We won't be leaving any time soon!
We love Imagine West Gilbert! My daughter has been at this school since she was five and is now ten. She still loves the school. We travel over 80 miles per day to come to school because we feel there is know better place for her to learn. The teachers and staff are all wonderful... they are like family.
This is our second year at Imagine West Gilbert and I just can't say enough great things about the school and staff. The teachers care about their students and really want them to succeed. The office staff is friendly and is always willing to assist if you have questions. I would highly recommend this school to anyone.
This is the best school my children have ever attended. Such caring and loving staff. I know my children are getting a good education and also being excepted for who they are. Would recommend this school to anyone.
Love this school! We have been at Imagine for 4 years and I love the feeling of family we get at this school. Most of the staff know both of my children. I love how welcome parents are made to feel and the opportunities we have to volunteer in our children's classes. The Special Education team is awesome!
After investigating multiple Pre K programs, I was referred to IWG. I am very happy with not only the school atmosphere, community character building, but most of all, the curriculum. I feel like my son and I are known, and not just another student.
IWG focuses on developing well rounded children. Unfortunately, today's society is filled with self-centered, self-serving people. IWG focus on teaching the children how to have good character partnered with a solid education. Problems (or solution opportunities) occur at every school. It is the way you teach your child to handle the situations that will make the difference. The staff members are helpful and caring. I particularly like that most of the staff members have been with the school for 6+ years. That retention rate makes a BIG difference in the quality of instruction. To help children excel in math, IWG instituted a more rigorous math curriculum which I appreciate. Our children will compete on a global level as they get older. The strong foundation they receive at IWG is paramount to their success. Congrats to Mr. Rawley for accepting the role as the new principal. IWG is an amazing school and I am honored to be a parent partnered with their endeavors to provide my children with an excellent education.
My two children have attended Imagine at West Gilbert since pre-k 3 and I have been extremely pleased with every teacher they have had. I feel we are part of the Imagine family which includes every teacher and administrative staff. We love this school and recommend this school %100!!
My daughter has been going to Imagine West Gilbert since Kindergarten. We tried another charter school for kindergarten, but the staff was less than supportive or involved. Since moving her to IWG she has excelled at everything she has tried. The teachers are always available to help me guide my child through her scholastic experience. The other children at the school are some of the nicest children I have met and the staff is always working to make this a great experience for my child. It's a shame there are not more schools in the community like this one.
I've had some behavorial issues with other kids bullying my kids and it isn't always readily addressed unless I call the school like a crazy parent. After I do that it all works out but I don't think that should be the case every time. Otherwise, decent curriculum for my kids.
Imagine West Gilbert is a wonderful school that focuses on the child. The staff is caring and the teachers are wonderful. My daughter has been enrolled for 2 years and she has truly blossmed with the education, support and encouragement she gets from her teacher and the staff.
I am truly blessed to have my children attend Imagine. It is a great feeling to know that they are surrounded by staff who truly care about their education.
The teachers and staff at imagine are amazing. We are truly grateful for the time and effort put into the children's education and well being.
I am extremely grateful for the teachers and staff at Imagine West Gilbert. My son has blossomed so much this past year. This is an amazing school with educators that actually do believe in our children and what they are capable of doing. To have teachers that understand and work with each student one on one as much as possible, is such a blessing. Thank you West Gilbert for truly caring about our kids.
There are pros and cons with all schools. However, there are definitely more pros with IWG than cons. My son has attended the school since Pre-k 3 and I like the curriculum. So much so, that I moved my daughter into the school who is currently in 1st grade. The school has a strong sense of community and tries to support both the parents and the students while maintaining safety standards. I will admit that I was apprehensive of placing my children in a charter school. However, I am very glad that I made the decision to do so. School should not be easy. School is a place where children should be challenged to strive to do their best. IWG offers that challenge in a comfortable, safe, helpful manner. If you are looking for a tuition free (K-8) school where your child can receive a quality education, consider IWG.
If you're looking for a FANTASTIC kindergarten environment, Mr. Black is THE MAN! He deserves to be a Silver Apple recipient with his endless patience, calming demeanor, and amazing gift of helping shy kindergartners blossom into outgoing little people. My family was blessed to have him as a teacher. The entire elementary staff is incredible and caring. I love the family dynamic that the staff and students develop.
My boys have been attending Imagine West Gilbert for the last two years (pre-K and K). I cannot say enough good things about it. The teachers are incredible - supportive, caring, encouraging, challenging, firm. The administrative staff is knowledgeable, helpful, and always greet my kiddos by name each morning (a big deal to 5 and 6 year olds). Not only does IWG challenge our kids and meet our academic expectations, but they put a strong emphasis on character development that has had a great impact on our kids. We couldn't be happier and look forward to another wonderful school year for 2013-2014.
I love my son's teacher (1st grade - Simmons) but I'm not thrilled with the school itself. It seems a bit thrown together and flies by the seat of it's pants. We will be moving to Chandler soon and I won't be heartbroken to switch schools. I'm used to bigger schools, more organized and less snooty. Their Pre-k program is outrageously expensive, but very good. My other son went to classes for a few months, but when I found out I had to pay even during the weeks that he was on break I was not happy. My kids are learning, and that's what really counts. But as a mom who has two older kids already done with high school, and having been through an ordinary middle school, I wasn't thoroughly impressed with this charter school.
