Leading Edge Academy High School
The school is so concerned about getting a lot of students that they do not have any discipline in the students who come. Teachers are expected to teach in an environment where students are totally out of control, and to try to bring order will result in the teacher being let go, while the rowdy students remain. I would not send any of my own students to this school.

What is it?
Arizona's Instrument to Measure Standards (AIMS) are annual tests used to measure a student's mastery of the state's grade-level academic standards.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 3 through 8 and 10 are assessed in reading, writing and math.
How is it Scored?
Students score at one of four levels: falls far below standard, approaches the standard, meets the standard or exceeds the standard. The goal is for all students to meet or exceed state standards.

The TerraNova is a series of nationally norm-referenced tests that assess general academic knowledge in core subjects, as well as providing national comparisons.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 2 through 9 are assessed in reading, language arts and math.

Students receive a percentile rank, which indicates how well they performed in comparison to their peers in other states. The goal is for all students to score at or above the national average, or 50th percentile, on the test.
