About This School
Charter schools are public schools, but differ from traditional public schools in that they are independent and are operated by educators, parents, community leaders, educational entrepreneurs, or others. Funding for charter schools is based on designated local or state educational organizations. Those organizations are responsible for monitoring and assessing the quality and effectiveness of education, but permit the schools to operate outside of the traditional public school education system. There are better schools that excell academically
We enrolled our daughter in kindergarten at CPA only because of the free all day program ...I'm not happy about the lack of parent involvment, they say they offer it but it's a joke. She seems happy has made some friends but talking to my neighbor who's daughter is at a public school she seems much more ahead in math and reading and she's welcomed to volunteer in the classroom. We have toured this school & love it!! music, PE and art classes!! My daughter is excited to go to her friends school & I am happy to be able to help out in the classroom & volunteer and school functions
not a great school
If you want an OK school for your child then this is the place for them. Do your research before attending, public schools in the area have better test results and have more accountablity. Charters can do what they what when they want this school is not consistant when it comes to dicipline & following through. Overall they are just not accoutable or consistant. Forget about putting your child in kindergarten here... it's just a daycare!
