About the TERRANOVA
What is it?
The TerraNova is a series of nationally norm-referenced tests that assess general academic knowledge in core subjects, as well as providing national comparisons.
Which Grades and Subjects?
Students in grades 2 through 9 are assessed in reading, language arts and math.

Students receive a percentile rank, which indicates how well they performed in comparison to their peers in other states. The goal is for all students to score at or above the national average, or 50th percentile, on the test.

Alhambra Traditional School
Dan: My daughters both attended ATS and went on to full scholarships in college--one as a National Merit Scholar. We attribute their academic success largely to the excellent education, challenge, and high expectations they experienced at ATS. The Spalding Method for teaching the English language arts at ATS produces excellent readers, spellers, and writers. In high school, other students would seek out my daughters to proofread their essays. I am semi-retired and occasionally help as a guest teacher ("Sub") at ATS. I have not observed or heard of bullying during my many times there. With the strong discipline and watchfulness of teachers and staff at ATS, it is highly unlikely that bullying would go unnoticed or, if observed, be unpunished.

Alhambra Traditional School
Very good school academically but the administration allows severe bullying to take place and will not suspend or expel any student even if they threaten the life of another as a matter of fact there is a tendancy to support the violent bullies and there families. This is the truth about Alhambra Tradional School. This needs to change if they are to remain successful--eventually many good families will have no choice but to leave. This is not an isolated but fact.

I highly recommend to parents and children to go to Alhambra Traditional School. I have learned manners, respect, and to do the best I can. This school's acadamic level is exellent. I get great grades and the teachers are magnificent. The parents are involved alot. ATS is strict, but lets us, students, have privliges. We also have awsome technology. This school is an industious school.
